Hole mounted capacitor bank
Mounted on overhead transmission line of 10 kv or 6 kv, to improve the power factor, reduce energy consumption, and enhance the electricity quality.
Product characteristics
Consists of fuse cutout, surge arrester, power transformer, voltage transformer, vacuum contactor, current sensor, shunt capacitor and controller.
When line voltage surpasses voltage protection modification (1.1~1.3 times Un), the controller activates after 30s delay the intermediate relay for disconnecting the capacitor. (If the line voltage is back to normal within 30s, the contactor does not tripping.) After the line voltage is back to normal, the controller deactivates after 10min delay the contactor to put the switch on and connects the capacitor.
When line voltage drops to 0.6Un or even lower, the contactor is activated for tripping after 0.2~0.5s delay. After the line voltage is back to normal, the controller deactivates after 10min delay the contactor to put the switch on and connects the capacitor.
When circuit surpasses current protection modification (1.4~1.5In), controller activates after 5s delay the contactor. In occurrence of capacitor breakdown, contactor is actived after 0.2~0.5s delay and the controller is locked-up.
In case of short circuit, the fuse disconnects the problem unit and contactor is activated for tripping and will be on longer in operation.
